On the 1 August GEARS+ Ltd started business as a social enterprise. "This is an exciting time for GEARS+ Ltd and both the staff and the Board are ready for the challenges that are ahead" said Trish Bartlett who was recently appointed as Chief executive.

Since GEARS+ started to work from the Orchard Street premises in June 2005 over 500 young people have attended, many of them from the NDC area. As a self funding organisation GEARS+ Ltd will use any surpluses created to continue to work with young people from the NDC area offering a range of programmes that incorporate basic workshop skills.
