At the end of June, GEARS+ were involved with the second annual programme working with the children of Cherbobyl. GEARS+ worked in partnership with the North West branch of the Hovercraft Club. The day took place at Magnolls Farm in Oswaldtwistle with big thanks to Charlie and Karen for their generosity.

This year two seperate groups of the FOCC came together from the Salford and Blackrod area's resulting in 28 children in total taking part.

Again the day was a huge success and thoroughly enjoyed by all who attended. Activities on the day included hovercraft rides, mudblasters, cycles, quad rides, teamwork games, goat feeding and much more.

Staff and volunteers, although very tired at the end of the day, agreed that it had been a fantastic experience. As a thank you the children sang for us before leaving.

We hope to Maintain our commitment to doing this every year.
