GEARS+ thanks the Prince's Trust

Prince's Trust Salford Team 18 and the Mayor of SalfordOn the 20 October 2008 GEARS+ was taken over by Team 18 of The Prince's Trust Volunteers, they had come to redecorate the main corridor and kitchen area of the building. The young people involved in the programme initially come along to look at the type of work that was done at GEARS+ and ask lots of questions, they then went away to raise the money for the equipment that they needed by doing bag packing at ASDA.

The Price's Trust HandoverThey all worked extremely hard and on the 30 October 2008 handed the business back by inviting the Mayor of Salford Councillor Margaret Morris to come and cut a red ribbon, whilst at GEARS+ she presented all of the young people with certificates that recognise their achievement and tried out the Driving Simulator.

The Price's Trust Salford Team 18The handover was attended by representatives of Greater Manchester Fire Rescue Service, the Board and Staff of GEARS+, representatives of Charlestown and Lower Kersal NDC, Salford Connexions Partnership, the Education Inclusion Service and Salford Youth Service.
